1. Why have I been charged $35?

When you rent a charger, a security deposit is held by your bank (not ChargeSpot). Once you return the power bank correctly at any ChargeSpot station, the deposit is released back to you minus the rental fee.

Please note: the refund timing is managed by your bank. Some banks may take several business days to process this.

2. I rented a battery, but nothing was dispensed.

If no battery is released, the transaction is automatically cancelled. No charges will apply, and any pre-authorisation will be refunded immediately.

3. There are no available slots to return a battery. What should I do?

Stations can occasionally be full. Please use our mobile app to locate another nearby return station. With over 2,500 locations across Australia, you should be able to find one close by.

4. How much does it cost to rent a power bank?

Rental fees are set by each venue and may vary depending on location.

5. I tried inserting the battery, but it won’t stay in.

Ensure the battery is inserted correctly. If it doesn’t fit, try reversing its orientation—it may have been placed upside down.

6. I forgot to return a power bank. What should I do?

No problem.

  • Use our app to locate the nearest station and return it there.

  • If you are in a remote area, contact us for a postal return address.

Once we receive the battery, we’ll refund the applicable amount.

7. I just found a battery I forgot to return. Can I still get a refund?

Yes. Please follow these steps:

  1. Take a photo of the barcode on the back of the power bank.

  2. Email the photo to us.

  3. Our team will guide you through the refund process.

8. The charging cable on my power bank is broken. What should I do?

Return the power bank immediately:

  • If returned within 5 minutes, no charges will apply.

  • If returned after 5 minutes, please contact us and we’ll arrange a refund.

9. Can I keep the power bank permanently?

Yes, you can choose to keep it for $75. The battery can be recharged using a standard USB-C cable for personal use.
⚠️ Please note: once purchased, do not return it to a venue station.

10. My power bank isn’t charging my device. What should I do?

Try removing the charging cable and reinserting it the other way around. This resolves most charging issues.
